Red Wings' head coach Todd McLellan said Kane could be an option on Friday against the New York Rangers.

Brown played the first 11 games for the Devils this season, but will miss a third straight due to an undisclosed injury. Hallander left Wednesday's practice early with an undisclosed injury and will not play on Thursday. With Hallander unable to suit up, expect Ben Kindel to take his spot on Pittsburgh's top line.

The 24-year-old Silovs struggled in his most recent outing, allowing four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) in a 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, but has otherwise been solid, boasting a 2.66 GAA and .913 SV% in seven games (3-2-2). The Penguins enter the action on Thursday as slight -103 home underdogs against a Capitals team coming off a dominant 6-1 win over the St. Louis Blues last night.

The 31-year-old Finnish goalie is off to a shaky start this season, posting a 3.49 GAA and .882 SV% in six games (3-3-0). The Bruins enter Thursday's contest as +120 home underdogs against a Senators team off to a 6-5-1 start this season.

Gudbranson (hip) has been placed on IR.

Gudbranson has been plagued with injuries this season, missing two weeks in early October with a lower-body injury, returning for a game, suffering a hip injury, and has been sidelined for the last two weeks again. The 33-year-old Gudbranson is in his 15th NHL season, his fourth with the Blue Jackets, and was set to be a lineup-regular this season after being limited to only 16 games in 2024-25 because of a shoulder injury.
