Ersson will start vs. Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

The Flyers have seen success alternating goalies early in the 2025-26 season, off to a 4-3-1 start, and will turn to Ersson on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 26-year-old Ersson has been outplayed by counterpart Dan Vladar, but has salvaged a 1-1-1 record despite an unspectacular 3.50 GAA and .861 SV%. The Flyers enter Tuesday's contest as -159 home favorites against a Penguins team that played last night, defeating the St. Louis Blues 6-3.

Binnington will start Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

The Blues have been leaky defensively lately, outscored 19-11 during three straight regulation losses, and hope Binnington can shut the door when he tends the twine on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings. Binnington was in the Blues' crease on Saturday in a 6-4 loss to the Red Wings when he allowed five goals on 27 shots (.815 SV%). However, aside from that game, the 32-year-old Binnington has been serviceable, significantly outplaying his counterpart Joel Hofer, posting a 1.80 GAA and .911 SV% in his five contests before Saturday's (2-2-1). The Blues enter Tuesday's action as slight -102 home underdogs against the Red Wings.

Pitre has been activated from the Injured-Non Roster and has been assigned to San Diego (AHL).

Pitre had been dealing with an upper-body injury since the beginning of the season and has been activated from the Injured-Non Roster and been assigned to San Diego (AHL). The 20-year-old forward is entering his second professional season in San Diego after having three goals, 16 points and 19 PIMs in 61 GP last season.

Metsa has been loaned to Rochester (AHL).

Metsa appeared in four games since his call-up on October 20th but failed to pick up a point and has been loaned back to Rochester (AHL) on Monday. The 27-year-old undrafted defensemen made his NHL debut this season and will likely be Buffalo's first call up should they have anyone out of the lineup. Metsa going down is a good indication Michael Kesselring is ready for his season debut on Tuesday.

Colorado has signed Tristen Nielsen to a two-year, two-way contract.

Nielsen had started 2025-26 with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) and earned himself a two-year, two-way contract on Monday after picking up three goals and seven points in his first 7 games in the minors.The 25-year-old is in his fifth pro season but has yet to make an NHL appearance despite scoring 14 or more goals in each of his last three minor seasons.

Korpisalo is expected to start vs. the Islanders on Tuesday.

With Jeremy Swayman occupying Boston's crease for the start of their back-to-back Monday, Joonas Korpisalo is expected to take over the crease vs. the Islanders on Tuesday. Boston's back up netminder will look to snap a personal three-game losing streak which has saw his SV% plummet to .845 SV% this season alongside his 4.03 GAA. He is expected to host Ilya Sorokin and Islanders on Tuesday, who had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday with a loss to Philadelphia.

Ristolainen (ruptured right tricep tendon) is about 4-6 weeks from returning.

Ristolainen's 2024-25 season was cut short due to a ruptured right triceps tendon, but he is making progress and could return towards the end of November. The 30-year-old is entering his 13th NHL season and has not completed a full 82-game season since 2015-16. Before his injury last season, he had four goals, 19 points and 100 SOG across 63 games played.

Bertuzzi (undisclosed) did not practice on Monday and is considered day-to-day.

Bertuzzi did not play in Chicago's most recent game and his status is uncertain for Tuesday's contest against the Ottawa Senators. The 30-year-old has enjoyed a successful start to his 2025-26 campaign, with two goals, six points and 17 SOG in his first 8 games played.

Gibson will start on Tuesday in St. Louis.

Gibson allowed four goals in the first 24 minutes of the Red Wings' most recent game, falling behind 4-0 to the St. Louis Blues, but shut the door the rest of the way, en route to a 25-save performance (.862 SV%) in a 6-4 win. The Red Wings will roll with Gibson in a rematch against the Blues on Tuesday. The 32-year-old Gibson has had an up-and-down start to his Red Wings' career, posting a 3.46 GAA and .870 SV% in five games (3-2-0).

The Bruins snapped a six-game losing skid (0-6-0) with an impressive 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday and hope to stay in the win column on Monday, turning to Swayman between the pipes in the front end of a back-to-back. Despite the team's losing record, Swayman has been serviceable between the pipes, posting a solid 2.85 GAA and .910 SV% in six games (3-3-0). Still, the Bruins enter Monday's contest as +152 road underdogs against an Ottawa Senators team outscoring their opposition 9-2 during a two-game winning streak.

Sanheim (maintenance) did not practice on Monday but is not expected to miss any time.

Sanheim is dealing with a tweak and had the day off on Monday, but should be inserted into the lineup when the Flyers return to action on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 29-year-old Sanheim has been a workhorse on Philadelphia's blueline this season, averaging a whopping 26:26 time-on-ice and scoring four points (1G / 3A) in eight games.

Sandin was limited to only 15:01 time-on-ice in an October 21st contest and has not played since. He will miss at least one more game, beginning with Tuesday's contest against the Dallas Stars. The 25-year-old Sandin is averaging 19:24 time-on-ice and has two points (0G / 2A) through seven games this season. He is considered day-to-day for the time being despite not travelling with the team and will be eligible to return as early as Friday's contest against the New York Islanders.

Toropchenko has only played one game this season after suiting up for 80 and 82 games in the previous two seasons for the Blues.

Miller participated in Carolina's pregame warmup on Thursday but was a late scratch due to a lower-body injury and has been sidelined since. The 25-year-old Miller was off to a strong start with the Hurricanes, averaging 23:32 time-on-ice and scoring four points (2G / 2A) in six games.

Kochetkov (lower-body) could be an option to return vs. Vegas on Tuesday.

Kochetkov has been battling an undisclosed injury since the beginning of October and has yet to suit up this season. That said, he is nearing a return and could be between the pipes as soon as Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 26-year-old Kochetkov posted a 2.60 GAA and .897 SV% in 47 appearances last season (27-16-3).
