

Lyon backstopped the Sabres on Wednesday for their first victory of the season in a high-scoring 8-4 win over the Ottawa Senators, where he saved 32 of 36 shots (.889 SV%). Despite an unfavorable 1-3-0 record, the 32-year-old Lyon has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing start to the 2025-26 season for the Sabres, showcasing a 3.05 GAA and .911 SV%. The Sabres enter Saturday's contest as +125 home underdogs against the Panthers.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Senators' 4-3 shootout win over the Kraken on Thursday. The win snapped a two-game losing stream for Ullmark, who is now 2-2-0 with a 3.72 GAA and .862 SV% through four games. Ullmark should make for a good start, as -140 home favourites vs. the Islanders.

Ginning played in each of the first four games of the season, but will be replaced by Egor Zamula in the lineup on Saturday. Ginning has just two SOG and four hits while averaging 16:09 TOI/gm this season.

Luchanko has dressed in three straight games, but was held off of the scoresheet in each contest. He'll be replaced by Rodrigo Abols in the lineup on Saturday.

Grebenkin dressed in three straight games, tallying one assist and three hits while averaging 10:17 TOI/gm. He'll be replaced by Nicolas Deslauriers on Saturday.

Zamula has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but will rejoin the Flyers’ lineup on Saturday, replacing Adam Ginning. He’s been held without a point through two games this season, averaging 15:49 of ice time per game.

Abols has been a healthy scratch for the last three games, but he will replace Jett Luchanko in the lineup on Saturday. Abols had one SOG and one hit in 8:05 TOI in his season debut.

Deslauriers has been a healthy scratch for the last three games, but he will replace Nikita Grebenkin in the lineup on Saturday. He had one SOG and two hits in 7:31 TOI in his season debut.


Veleno will draw into the Montreal lineup because Patrik Laine is out with a lower-body injury. Veleno most recently played for the Blackhawks, where he had seven points (3G / 4A) in 18 games. He'll centre a line with Zack Bolduc and Owen Beck in his debut.

With Kirby Dach unavailable due to a lower-body injury, Beck will play in his 14th career game and first of the season. Beck has 16 goals and 30 assists (46 points) in 67 AHL games over the last two seasons. He'll start on a line with Zack Bolduc and Joe Veleno.

Vladar allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Flyers win over the Panthers on Monday. Vladar has been great in his first two starts of the season, posting a 1-1-0 record, 2.02 GAA and .933 SV%. Tonight he'll face a Wild team on the tail-end of a back-to-back. The Flyers come in as -111 home favourites.



Jiricek had one assist in his season debut in Iowa, and returns to the NHL following an injury to Zach Bogosian on Friday. Jiricek could draw into the lineup on Saturday.

Bogosian left after playing 12:08 and did not return. The Wild recalled David Jiricek from Iowa (AHL), suggesting that Bogosian will not be available on Saturday.

Montour will miss Saturday's game in Toronto and could miss more time. The Kraken finish their road trip with games Monday (@ PHI), Tuesday (@ WSH), and Thursday (@ WPG). Expect Cale Fleury to replace him in the lineup on Saturday.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Panthers' 4-1 loss in Detroit on Wednesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak to start the season for Bobrovsky, who now holds a .922 SV% through four starts. Bobrovsky and the Panthers are -145 road favourites in Buffalo.
