The 23-year-old was drafted by Pittsburgh in the second-round of the 2018 NHL Draft (53rd overall) and has played three seasons with the Wild where he has five goals, 28 assists, and a -21 plus/minus through 80 career games played. He should be a key piece of Minnesota's top power play in 2023-24.

Khaira had six goals, eight assists, 31 PIMs, 59 SOG, and a -11 plus/minus through 51 games played in 2022-23 with the Chicago Blackhawks and has signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with Minnesota. The 29-year-old left-winger is joining his third team (EDM, CHI) in his ninth NHL season and has 33 goals, 80 points and 229 PIMs across 336 career games played.

Kinkaid returns to New Jersey on a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 where he spent six seasons from 2012 to 2019. The 34-year-old played only two NHL games in 2022-23 with both Boston and Colorado and finished the season with a 1-0-0 record, .950 SV%, and 1.37 GAA. He will be entering his 11th NHL season and has a 70-58-21 record career record, .905 SV% and 2.91 GAA with five different teams (NJD, NYR, MTL, BOS, COL).

George was drafted by the Islanders in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft (98th overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with New York. The 19-year-old defenseman is expected to return to the London Knights for the 2023-24 season where he had seven goals, 22 points, 14 PIMs and a +23 plus/minus through 54 games played in 2022-23.

Chisholm had five goals, 38 assists, 21 PIMs, and a -13 plus/minus through 59 games with Manitoba (AHL) in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with Winnipeg. The 23-year-old defenseman was Winnipeg's 2018 fifth-round pick (150th overall) and has made two NHL appearances with the club, failing to pick up a point.

Tatar had 20 goals, 28 assists, 30 PIMs, 153 SOG, and a +41 plus/minus through 82 games with New Jersey in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, $1,500,000 contract with Colorado on Tuesday. The 32-year-old will join his fifth NHL team and has 211 goals, 455 points, and 276 PIMs through 783 career games played. It is a great depth signing for the Avalanche as Tatar comes at a cheap price tag and has seven 20+ goal seasons across his 12 years of playing in the NHL.

Motte had eight goals, 11 assists, 109 SOG, six PIMs, and a +3 plus/minus across 62 games played with Ottawa and the New York Rangers in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year deal worth $800,000. The 28-year-old center is joining his sixth NHL team after Tampa was able to sign him due to Josh Archibald's contract termination.

Frost had 19 goals, 27 assists, 155 SOG, 24 PIMs, and a -12 plus/minus through 81 games in 2022-23 and has signed a two-year, $4.2 million extension ($2,100,00 AAV). After being drafted in the 1st round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft (27th overall) Frost has amassed 26 goals, 69 points, 271 SOG, and 42 PIMS across 158 games and five four seasons.

Sanderson enjoyed a very successful rookie season in 2022-23 as he finished his inaugural campaign with four goals, 28 assists, 132 SOG, 12 PIMs, and a -6 plus/minus through 77 games played and has signed an eight-year, $64.4 million ($8,050,000 AAV) contract extension. The 21-year-old defenseman was Ottawa's 2020 1st round-pick (5th overall) and is expected to take a massive leap forward in his sophomore campaign.

Luneau was Anaheim's 2022 second-round pick (53rd overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Ducks. The 19-year-old defensemen finished 2022-23 with 20 goals, 83 points (most by a Defensemen in QMJHL), 31 PIMs, and a +49 plus/minus with Gatineau (QMJHL) and are expected to return to the club for a fourth season in 2023-24. He was the recipient of the Raymond Lagace Trophy in 2022-23 for the QMJHL's Defensemen of the Year.

Reinke had a goal, 26 assists, eight PIMs and a -15 plus/minus through 52 games played with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract with Seattle. The 27-year-old has previously played in one NHL game with St.Louis in 2017-18 and has spent his years since in the AHL. He will make a depth piece for Seattle and is expected to spend the season with the Coachella Firebirds (AHL).

Shore had a goal, eight assists, 33 SOG, four PIMs, and a +6 plus/minus through 47 games played with Edmonton in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 AAV with Seattle. The 29-year-old joins his fifth NHL team after seasons in Dallas, Edmonton, Anaheim, and Columbus and has 50 goals, 135 points, and 69 PIMs across 422 career games in eight seasons.

Benoit played his first full NHL season in 2023, posting three goals with seven assists (10 points) in 78 games. The 6-foot-3, 203 lbs. blueliner is known more for his rugged defensive play, blocking 128 shots and laying 216 hits for the Ducks. Given the Maple Leafs' depth, Benoit will likely serve as an extra defenseman or head to the AHL.

Raddysh had a goal, two assists, 25 SOG, four PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 17 games in 2022-23 with Tampa Bay and has signed a two-year, 1.95 million contract extension ($995,000 AAV). The 27-year-old defenseman had only played in four NHL games prior to last season after a strong AHL career which saw him collect 171 points in 339 career AHL games.

Veleno had nine goals, 11 assists, 30 PIMs, 85 SOG, and a -12 plus/minus through 81 games with the Red Wings in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, $825,000 extension Wednesday. The 23-year-old was Detroit's 2018 first-round pick (30th overall) and has picked up 18 goals, 36 points, and 166 SOG through 152 career NHL games across three seasons.

Hagel enjoyed a breakout season in 2022-23 with 30 goals, 34 assists, 178 SOG, a +23 plus/minus, with 54 PIMs through 81 games played with Tampa Bay and has signed an eight-year, $52 million contract extension ($6,500,000 AAV). The 24-year-old winger was acquired from Chicago the season before for two players and two conditional first-round picks and has 64 goals and 132 points across 211 career NHL games.
