Rosi (upper-body) skated on Thursday and has potential to return on Saturday.

Josi has been sidelined since October 23rd, but made a major step towards drawing back into the lineup by returning to practice this week. The 35-year-old defenseman had five points (1G / 4A) in eight games this season before his injury. He missed 29 games last season, largely due to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, a condition characterized by an abnormally large increase in heart rate upon sitting up or standing.

Holmstrom (illness) will be a game-time decision vs. Detroit on Thursday.

Holmstrom had a breakout 2024-25 season, scoring 45 points (20G / 25A) in 75 games, and is producing at a similar, albeit slightly lower rate, in 2025-26, with nine points (4G / 5A) through 19 games. Maxim Tsyplakov will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Holmstom's return.

Durzi (upper-body) returned to practice in a regular practice jersey on Thursday.

Durzi has not played since the second game of the season, recovering from an upper-body injury, but appears to be nearing a return to the lineup after practicing on Thursday. The 27-year-old Durzi was solid in limited action with Utah last season, scoring 11 points (4G / 7A) in 30 games.

Bertuzzi (upper-body) will return vs. Seattle on Thursday.

Bertuzzi has not played since November 12th, and was previously a game-time decision for several games, but will draw back into the lineup on Thursday against the Seattle Kraken. The 30-year-old Bertuzzi is off to an excellent start to the 2025-26 season, recording 15 points (9G / 6A), 36 shots, and 17 hits in 16 games.

Hedman (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week.

Hedman has not played since November 8th and is apparently no closer to returning, out week-to-week with an undisclosed injury. The 34-year-old Hedman has 12 points (0G / 12A) through 15 games this season. Darren Raddysh has served as the quarterback on the team's top powerplay unit while Hedman has been sidelined.

Stolarz's upper-body injury is worse than originally expected.

Stolarz, originally considered day-to-day, has been sidelined since suffering an upper-body injury on November 11th. The team has not revealed concrete details about his injury, but this latest development suggests he is not close to returning. The 31-year-old Stolarz struggled before his injury, posting a 3.51 GAA and .884 SV% in 13 games (6-5-1). Expect Joseph Woll to see the brunt of the action while Stolarz is sidelined.

Neighbours (lower-body) has been activated from IR and will return in Philadelphia on Thursday.

Neighbours has not played since suffering a lower-body injury on October 25th, but returned to practice on Monday, and appears to be on the verge of returning to the lineup after being activated from Injured Reserve. The 23-year-old Neighbours was off to a hot start to the season before his injury, tallying seven points (6G / 1A) and 20 hits in eight games.

Paul (upper-body) skated in line rushes and has a good chance to make his season debut vs. Edmonton on Thursday.

Paul underwent surgery in mid-September to address an upper-body injury and appears as though he could make his season debut on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 30-year-old Paul had 22 goals, 41 points, and 141 SOG in 76 games played last season.

Romanov has been placed on IR with an upper-body injury.

Romanov violently collided into the boards near the end of the third period after a collision with Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen. Romanov needed assistance leaving the ice, and Rantanen was issued a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct. Islanders' Head Coach Patrick Roy did not have an update on Romanov after the game, but said he did not need to go to the hospital. That said, he was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday afternoon, meaning he will be out of the lineup for at least one week.

McAvoy (upper-body) underwent surgery on Wednesday and does not have a timetable to return.

McAvoy exited Boston's 3-2 win over Montreal on Saturday after only 13:41 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury and has not played since. The 27-year-old defenseman successfully underwent surgery on Wednesday, but it's unclear when he will return and if this will impact his availability for the upcoming winter Olympics. He has 14 points (0G / 14A) through 19 games this season.

Garland (undisclosed) was a full participant in practice Wednesday and is ready to return to the Canucks lineup.

Garland suffered an undisclosed injury in the first period of Vancouver's 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday, exiting the game after only 4:21 time-on-ice. The 29-year-old Garland has 13 points (5G / 8A) in 17 games this season. He will return to the lineup on Thursday against the Dallas Stars after a one-game absence.

Tkachuk has started skating and could be back sometime in the next month in time for the Winter Classic.

Tkachuk has yet to play this season due to an injury, but has resumed skating and is targeting a return in late December. The 27-year-old Tkachuk recorded 57 points (22G / 35A), 84 hits, and 156 shots last season in 52 games, missing 30 contests due to a lower-body injury.

Lyubushkin is battling an undisclosed injury, did not play on Tuesday, and remains day-to-day. The 31-year-old Lyubushkin has spent most of the season playing alongside Thomas Harley, who is also sidelined week-to-week due to an injury. Vladislav Kolyachonok drew into the lineup as Lyubushkin's replacement on Tuesday.

Duchene (upper-body) will travel with Dallas on their upcoming road trip.

Duchene suffered an upper-body injury after a massive open-ice hit from Minnesota's Jacob Middleton in the third game of the season, was sidelined for one game, returned, and has mysteriously been out of the lineup since. Few details have been released regarding Duchene's injury, but has has been practicing with the team for the last several days, and could return to the lineup in their upcoming four-game road trip. The 34-year-old Duchene led Dallas last season with 82 points (30G / 52A) in 82 games.
