Tavares (lower-body) will return to the Maple Leafs lineup on Saturday.

Tavares has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury but will play Saturday in Edmonton. Tavares, who has 20 goals and 22 assists in 44 games this season, will centre the Maple Leafs' second line with William Nylander and Max Pacioretty on his wings.

The Stars have placed Tyler Seguin (hip) on LTIR.

Seguin was expected to miss 4-to-6 months as of early December, so he's still at least two months away from returning to the Stars' lineup. Moving him to LTIR gives the Stars some cap flexibility and does not affect Seguin's timeline for a return.
