Friedman has regularly been a healthy scratch the last two months, resulting in him being loaned to the Abbotsford Canucks on a conditioning loan last week. He participated in Vancouver's practice on Monday as an extra defenseman.
Karlsson has been recalled several times over the last month but has not played since January 4th. He has 25 points (9G / 16A) in 28 games with the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL.
Robertson will need to wait a little longer to make his NHL debut as he returns to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, where he has 13 points (2G / 11A) in 32 games. The 22-year-old was the 49th overall pick of the Rangers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
Bryson has spent most of his season as a healthy scratch for the Sabres or playing for the Rochester Americans (AHL), where he has three points (0G / 3A) in 10 games. In three games with the Sabres, he has two hits and six blocks while averaging 9:26 time-on-ice.
Wolf did not appear in a game during his call-up, and his return to the AHL suggests that Jacob Markstrom will be available for Tuesday's game. Wolf has gone 16-6-1 with a 2.27 GAA and .929 SV% in 23 AHL games this season.
Blankenburg has been out since December 19th but will return to the ice in the AHL. In a corresponding move, the Blue Jackets recalled David Jiriceck from Cleveland.
Jiriceck has spent most of the season with the Blue Jackets, appearing in 36 games and tallying nine points (1G / 8A). During his brief stint in Cleveland, the No.6 pick from 2022 had three assists in three games. He'll be with the team as they leave for a West Coast road swing.
Comrie served as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's backup on Saturday while Devon Levi got some game action in the AHL. With the Sabres set to leave for a California road trip, Comrie returns to Rochester, and Levi is back with the Sabres. Comrie has gone 2-1-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .951 SV% in three AHL games since clearing waivers.
Levi has not started an NHL games since January 9th, so the Sabres sent him back to the AHL to get in some game action on Saturday. Levi allowed three goals on 17 shots in a 7-3 win for Rochester. He'll now accompany the team on their California road-trip, where he figures to start either Tuesday in Anaheim or Wednesday in Los Angeles. Levi is 8-7-2 with a 3.32 GAA and .889 SV% in 19 NHL appearances this season.
