











LaChance was a sixth-round pick, 186th overall, of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old forward has three points (1G / 2A) in 13 games with the Utica Comets (AHL) over the previous two seasons.

The 32-year-old Rooney played a career-high 70 games with the Calgary Flames last season, scoring 10 points (5G / 5A). He started the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he recorded four points (3G / 1A) with Tucson. He has yet to play an NHL game this season.

The Oilers faithful had high expectations for Howard entering his first NHL season, but has had trouble adjusting from the collegiate level. The 21-year-old has three points (2G / 1A) in 17 games this season and will hope to rediscover his scoring touch in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL).


With Alex Nedeljkovic returning from tending to a personal matter, the Sharks have reassigned Skarek back to the Barracuda (AHL). The Czech goaltender made his NHL debut in 2024-25 with the Islanders, but struggled with a 0-1-0 record, .872 SV% and 3.94 GAA. He has a 3.63 GAA and .875 SV% in six games (4-2-0) with the Barracuda this season.

Akhtyamov was drafted in the fourth-round, 106th overall, by the Maple Leafs in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old goalie has yet to play an NHL game. He has a 2.82 GAA and .894 SV% in six games (4-2-0) with the Marlies (AHL) this season.

Woll did not overly impress during a two-game conditioning stint with the Marlies, going 0-1-1 while posting a 3.72 GAA and .885 SV%, but will return to the lineup for the Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old Woll started in exactly half of Toronto's games last season, posting a 2.73 GAA and .909 SV%, and could be poised for similar or greater deployment if he can find his footing while Anthony Stolarz is injured.

After a week in the AHL with the Marlies, Cowan has been recalled by the Toronto Maple Leafs in response to Auston Matthews (lower body) being placed on Injured Reserve. The 20-year-old Cowan started the season with the Maple Leafs and scored four points (1G / 3A) in 10 games.

Legare made his NHL debut last season, playing three games with the Devils, but has otherwise exclusively played in the AHL. The 24-year-old third-round pick from the 2019 NHL Entry Draft has one goal and 21 penalty minutes in 11 games this season with the Utica Comets (AHL).
