The Kraken are retaining 50 percent of Jarnkrok's remaining salary. Jarnkrok is a quality defensive-first forward, who could be a perfect fit on a line with Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman. Jarnkrok, who is Elias Lindholm's cousin, is in the final year of a six-year deal that carries $2.0M AAV cap-hit. He has scored 12 goals with 14 assists (26 points) in 49 games.
The Canadiens will retain 50% of Chiarot's salary for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Chiarot was in his third season with the Canadiens and has scored seven goals with 11 assists (18 points) in 54 games this season. He's in the final year of a three-year deal with a $3.5M AAV cap-hit and will be a UFA this summer.
Vatrano has had a down year in Florida, scoring just 10 goals with nine assists (19 points) in 49 games. Vatrano has scored at a 23 goals per 82 game pace in his first three seasons with the team but is on a 17-goal pace this season. Vatrano should see more important ice time in New York than her did in Florida this year.
Jost was selected No.10 overall in 2016 but has struggled to produce offensively, largely due to his role. The Avalanche frees up $1.275 million in AAV with this swap and acquire a bigger centre to play in their bottom-6. Sturm was an undrafted free agent out of Clarkson University, who has scored nine goals with eight assists (17 points) in 53 games with the Wild this season.

Manson is in the final year of a four-year deal with a $4.1M AAV cap-hit. The Ducks retained 50 percent of Manson's cap-hit and the 30-year-old will help solidify Colorado's bottom-4. Manson projects to play with Samuel Girard when the Avalanche are fully healthy.
Stalock was originally drafted by the Sharks in 2005 and played with San Jose from 2011-to-2016. Stalock recently returned to action with Bakersfield (AHL), going 3-1-0 with a 3.81 GAA and .862 SV%. With Adin Hill and James Reimer both dealing with injuries right now, Stalock could make a return to the NHL. McNiven was an undrafted free agent out of the OHL, who has carved out a nice career in the AHL and ECHL to date. He will likely report to the AHL but provides the Flames with some organization depth. He has gone 4-4-1 with a 4.04 GAA and .869 SV% in 11 AHL games this season.

Ritchie signed a two-year, $5.0M deal with the Maple Leafs in the offseason but had a hard time finding a full-time spot in the lineup. Overall, he had nine points (2G / 7A) in 33 games with the Maple Leafs before being waived and sent to the Marlies. He had one goal in two AHL games. Ritchie should have no problem finding playing time with the Coyotes.
