Lucius was Winnipeg's 2021 1st-round pick (18th overall) and spent his 2024-25 season with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) before announcing his retirement from hockey on Tuesday. The 21-year-old's surprise announcement comes with the update that he has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Seattle has signed Nathan Villeneuve to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Villeneuve was a second-round pick, 63rd overall, of the Seattle Kraken in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old forward has spent the previous three seasons in the OHL, including scoring 70 points (34G / 36A) in 57 games with the Sudbury Wolves.

Lycksell played a career-high 19 games with the Flyers this season, scoring five points (0G / 5A). The 25-year-old forward has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, where he has 41 points (17G / 24A) in 40 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL).
