That said, he is nearing a return and could be between the pipes as soon as Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 26-year-old Kochetkov posted a 2.60 GAA and .897 SV% in 47 appearances last season (27-16-3).

Neighbours scored two goals in the Blues' 6-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, but seemingly aggravated an undisclosed injury, sidelining him for at least one contest, beginning with Monday's meeting with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 23-year-old Neighbours has seven points (6G / 1A) in eight games this season.

Thomas suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings, exiting the contest in the second period after only 12:21 time-on-ice. The 26-year-old Thomas managed two assists on Saturday before leaving, extending his point streak to the games (0G / 4A). He has six points (1G / 5A) in eight games this seaosn.

Greenway was placed on Injured Reserve prior to the beginning of the season, but could draw into the lineup for his season debut on Thursday against the Boston Bruins. The 28-year-old Greenway has had a run of bad luck, missing the first nine games of 2025-26 after missing 128 games combined in his first three seasons with the Sabres.

The Blues have been leaky defensively lately, allowing 13 goals in their last two games (0-2-0), and hope Hofer can shut things down when he returns to the crease on Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 25-year-old Hofer is a talented netminder with a 2.82 GAA and .904 SV% in 77 career games (36-23-5), but has been abysmal to start the 2025-26 season, posting a dreadful 6.22 GAA and .789 SV% in three outings (1-1-0). Still, the Blues enter Monday's contest as -118 road favorites against the Penguins.

Kesselring left the Sabres' preseason game on October 1st after aggravating an injury that he'd been dealing with throughout camp and has been sidelined since. The 25-year-old Kesselring was acquired with Josh Doan in a trade that sent JJ Peterka to the Utah Mammoth in the offseason. Kesslering has the potential to be a top-four defenseman as shown by his seven goals, 29 points, 89 PIMs and 150 SOG in 82 GP with Utah in 2024-25.

With Jonah Gadjovich (upper body) out week-to-week, Kunin will get the opportunity to re-enter the Panthers lineup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The 27-year-old Kunin has one point (0G / 1A) and is averaging 10:40 time-on-ice through nine games this season.

Nylander did not play in Toronto's most recent game, a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres, and his status is uncertain for their next game on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. The 29-year-old Nylander was off to an outstanding start to the season before his injury, scoring 14 points (3G / 11A) in eight games. Nicholas Robertson was the main beneficiary of Nylander's absence, being elevated to Toronto's top line and top powerplay unit.

The Panthers are without several of their regulars due to injuries and will add Gadjovich to that list as he recovers from an upper-body injury. The 27-year-old Gadjovich had 30 hits and three points (0G / 3A) in 10 games this season.

With Brad Marchand (personal) out of the lineup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks, Gregor will draw in for his season debut. The 27-year-old Gregor is in his first season with the Panthers. He has 70 points (36G / 34A) in 293 career games.

A Panthers top-six that is already injury depleted will also be without Marchand on Tuesday, as he tends to a personal matter. The 37-year-old Marchand is off to an excellent start in his first full season with the Panthers, recording 11 points (5G / 6A) in 10 games.

Mikheyev record an assist in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings but was limited to only 11:55 time-on-ice, exiting the game with an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old forward has five points (3G / 2A) in nine games and is considered day-to-day.

Romanov has only played four games this season, and will miss out least one more outing. The 25-year-old Romanov was averaging 18:12 time-on-ice, with 12 block and 15 hits in four games before his injury.

The Islanders' defensive woes continued with David Rittich tending the twine in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Islanders. The team will flip the script on the tail end of their back-to-back, turning to Sorokin between the pipes on Friday against the Washington Capitals. That said, the Islanders haven't fared much better with Sorokin. The 30-year-old Sorokin is off to a forgetful start, posting an ugly 3.75 GAA and .868 SV% in seven games (2-4-1). The Islanders enter Thursday's contest as +187 road underdogs against a 6-4-0 Capitals team.

Rittich has seen limited action this season, but when called upon, he has outplayed starting netminder Ilya Sorokin, who is sporting an ugly 3.75 GAA and .868 SV% in seven games (2-4-1). The 33-year-old Rittich has an excellent 2.01 GAA and .940 SV% through two games this season (2-0-0) and could earn himself some extra playing time with another strong performance. That said, the Islanders enter Thursday's contest as +188 road underdogs against a Carolina Hurricanes team off to a 6-3-0 start to the season.

After losing their first three games to start the season (0-3-0), the Islanders have points in five straight (4-0-1). Despite their recent surge in play, the Islanders are still hoping for another level out of Sorokin between the pipes. The 30-year-old netminder is off to a lackluster start to the season, posting an unspectacular 3.70 GAA and .875 SV% in six outings (2-3-1). He returns to the crease on Tuesday against a Boston Bruins team on the tail end of a back-to-back.

Sandin was limited to only 15:01 time-on-ice in an October 21st contest and has not played since. He will miss at least one more game, beginning with Tuesady's contest against the Dallas Stars. The 25-year-old Sandin is averaging 19:24 time-on-ice and has two points (0G / 2A) through seven games this season. He is considered day-to-day for the time being despite not travelling with the team.

Strome exited Washington's most recent game in the first period after only 2:34 time-on-ice due to a lower-body injury. The 28-year-old was absent from practice on Monday and will not be in the lineup on Tuesday when the team visits the Dallas Stars. Strome is off to another hot start this season, with 10 points (2G / 8A) in nine games.

Luchanko was held off the scoresheet in four games with the Flyers this season and will spend the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign with the Guelph Storm in the OHL. The 19-year-old Luchanko was the 19th-overall pick by the Flyers in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

Jarnkrok showed no signs of an injury in Toronto's most recent game but he was absent from practice on Monday with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day. The 34-year-old Jarnkrok is averaging 11:15 time-on-ice and has three points (3G / 0A) in eight games this season.
