Ehlers has been out since April 12th with a lower-body injury he suffered in a collision with a referee in Chicago. His return comes at a perfect time because the Jets are missing Mark Scheifele due to an undisclosed injury he suffered in Game 5. Before getting hurt, Ehlers was having one of the best seasons of his career, scoring 24 goals with 39 assists (63 points) in 69 games.

Edmonton has signed Alec Regula to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Regula was the 67th overall pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft but has only played 22 career NHL Games. The 24-year-old defenseman spent the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, scoring 26 points (4G / 22A) in 55 games with the Providence Bruins.

Ehlers has only played twice in the last fours weeks but will make his 2024-25 playoff debut on Friday in Game 6. The Jets lead their series 3-2 over the St. Louis Blues and have been cautious with Ehler's return to the lineup after reaggravating an injury after attempting to return late in the season. The 29-year-old Ehlers scored 63 points (24G / 39A) in 63 games this season.

Andersen exited Game 4 in round one in the second period after an awkward collision due to an undisclosed injury. He was replaced by Pyotr Kochetkov, who started and won Game 5, helping Carolina advance to the second round. The 35-year-old Andersen has been practicing regularly and could return to the crease at the start of the second round.

The 23-year-old forward had five points (2G / 3A) in 11 games with New York and has 53 points (20G / 33A) in 137 career contests.

The Senators will of course turn back to Ullmark between the pipes on Thursday as they hope to push their opening round series against the Maple Leafs to a deciding Game 7. The former Vezina Trophy winner is coming off his best performance of the playoffs and arguably stole the victory for Ottawa in Game 5, posting a shutout in a game where the Sens were outshot 29-19. Ullmark owns a 2.80 GAA and an .883 SV% through the opening five games of the series. The Senators enter action on Thursday at -120 on the money line.

Pickard will start Game 6 vs. Los Angeles on Thursday.

After losing their first two games with Stuart Skinner tending the twine, the Oilers switched to Pickard in Game 3 and have gone 3-0 since, taking a 3-2 series lead. The 33-year-old Pickard was solid on Tuesday in Game 5, saving 21 of 22 shots (.955 SV%) in a 3-1 victory. He has a 2.62 GAA and .904 SV% through four appearances this postseason. The Oilers can advance to the second round with a win and enter Game 6 as -169 home favorites against the Kings.

Kuemper was sensational on Tuesday in a dominant Game 5 by the Edmonton Oilers but did not receive enough goal support from his teammates, saving 43 of 45 shots (.956 SV%) in the 3-1 loss. The 34-year-old Kuemper has had an up-and-down postseason, posting a 3.44 GAA and .899 SV% in five games (2-3). The Kings trail the Oilers 3-2 and enter a must-win Game 6 on Thursday as +151 road underdogs.

Following a 23-save shutout in Game 4, the first of his career, Blackwood allowed several questionable goals in Game 5, saving 13 of 18 shots (.722 SV%) before being relieved in the second intermission in a 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. Still, the 28-year-old Blackwood has a 2.38 GAA and .909 SV% through five games this postseason (2-3). Colorado faces elimination, trailing their series 3-2, and enters the action on Thursday as -190 road favorites against Dallas.

Robertson (lower-body) has improved his injury status to day-to-day.

Robertson has not played since suffering a lower-body injury in the final game of the regular season but is inching closer to a return. That said, he has not participated in full-contact practice yet and is likely targeting a round-two return to the lineup if the Stars can advance.
