Meier (back spasms) will play against the Hurricanes on Thursday.

The Devils return to action on November 21st against the Carolina Hurricanes, and thankfully will have the services of Meier, who was day-to-day with back spasms. The 28-year-old Meier is averaging 17:24 time-on-ice and has 14 points (7G / 7A), 38 hits, and 63 shots in 21 games this season.

Ovechkin has a fracture in his left fibula and is anticipated to miss 4-6 weeks.

Ovechkin exited Monday's game late in the third period after a knee-on-knee collision with Utah HC's Jack McBain. Ovechkin will be out 4-6 weeks with a fractured left fibula. Before the injury on Monday, Ovechkin had a two-goal game, adding to his impressive start to the 2024-25 campaign with a league-leading 15 goals. The 39-year-old Ovechkin was well on his way to surpassing Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal record (894), only 27 away, a feat that could be jeopardized due to missing extended time.

Pesce (undisclosed) is expected to play on Thursday vs. Carolina.

Pesce had been battling an undisclosed injury but, with five days between games, seems to have had ample time to recover. He will likely be in the lineup on Thursday against his former club, the Carolina Hurricanes. The 30-year-old Pesce has been a stabilizing presence on the blueline in his first season with New Jersey, averaging 20:42 time-on-ice and recording 20 blocks in 12 games.

Arvidsson (undisclosed) has been placed on IR.

Arvidsson is battling an undisclosed ailment and will miss his fifth consecutive game. Most recently, the 31-year-old Arvidsson had been suiting up on a line with Leon Draisatl after struggling to find success in the early going of his first season with the Oilers, scoring five points (2G / 3A) in his first 16 games.

Chytil (undisclosed) will not play in Calgary on Thursday and is still considered day-to-day.

Chytil exited last Thursday's game after playing 9:37 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury and has not played since. The 25-year-old Chytil has battled injuries the past two seasons but was having a strong 2024-25 campaign with nine points (4G / 5A) in 15 games. Jonny Brodzinski has drawn into the lineup since Chytil's absence.

Nurse (upper-body) is a possibility to return on Saturday vs. New York.

Nurse was on the receiving end of an illegal check to the head by Toronto's Ryan Reaves on Saturday. Reaves was given a five-minute major penalty and has been suspended for five games. The 29-year-old Nurse, who has nine points (2G / 7A) in 18 games this season, could return to the lineup on Saturday against the New York Rangers.

Hyman (undisclosed) is out vs. Minnesota on Thursday and is expected to be out for 4-7 days.

Hyman is battling an undisclosed ailment and will miss his first game of the season on Thursday. The 32-year-old Hyman, coming off a career-best 54 goal campaign, has struggled in the 2024-25 campaign, with only eight points (3G / 5A) in eight games. New acquired Kasperi Kapanen, claimed from waivers yesterday, will draw into the lineup to make his Oilers debut.

Georgiev (upper-body) has been activated from IR.

Georgiev was placed on Injured Reserve yesterdayy, retroactive to November 13th, but will likely be between the pipes on Thursday against the Washington Capitals. The 28-year-old Georgiev has played better lately after a horrid start to the season, posting a .913 SV% in his previous four games (3-1-0).

Granlund (upper-body) will play on Thursday in St. Louis after leaving Wednesday's game late due to injury.

Granlund left Wednesday's game late in the third period. He was eager to get in the mix for an offensive zone faceoff but was forced out of the game by a concussion spotter. Evidently, he was no worse for wear as he will be in the lineup on Thursday.

Andersen will undergo a procedure to his knee and is expected to be out for 8-12 weeks.

Originally expected to be a minor injury, the Hurricanes have revealed that Andersen will be sidelined for approximately 8-12 weeks after undergoing a procedure on his knee. Pyotr Kochetkov has filled in admirably in Andersen's absence and should continue to do so with Spencer Martin as his backup.

Johnson (shoulder) has been activated from IR and is expected to return on Thursday.

Johnson has not played since October 17th due to an upper-body injury but is expected to return to the lineup on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 22-year-old Johnson showed signs of a true breakout campaign before his injury, with two goals and three assists in his first four games. The Blue Jackets loaned Mikael Pyyhtia to the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) to accommodate Johnson's return.

Granlund left Wednesday’s game vs. Dallas late with an undisclosed injury and did not return.
