Fiala is battling an illness and could miss Wednesday's contest against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old forward has 29 points (16G / 13A) in 46 games and his pacing for his worst offensive output since the 2018-19 season when he has 39 points (13G / 26A) in 83 games. That said, he has picked it up lately, with seven points (2G / 5A) in his last six games.

The 26-year-old defenseman is averaging a monstrous 25:45 time-on-ice, a career-high, recording 30 points (8G / 22A), 81 blocks, and 23 hits in 44 games this season.

Bill Guerin, GM of the Minnesota Wild, announced on Tuesday that Kaprizov will be out of the lineup for at least four weeks after undergoing surgery. The surgery will address the same lower-body injury that kept him out of the lineup for 12 games earlier this month. The 27-year-old Kaprizov has been outstanding offensively when healthy, scoring 52 points (23G / 29A) in 37 games.

Perunovich (trade) will be a game-time decision vs. Colorado.

Perunovich was acquired for a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from the St. Louis Blues. Perunovich, a talented offensive defenseman, was the 45th overall pick of the Blues in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft but had trouble establishing his game at the NHL level with the club. He has six points (2G / 4A) in 24 games with the Blues this season and provides needed depth for the Islanders blue line.
