Gustafsson is expected to be a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Gustafsson had one assist and and a minus-2 rating in 20:11 TOI in his Red Wings debut on Thursday. He'll come out of the lineup to make room for Justin Holl, who was recalled from Grand Rapids this morning. Moritz Seider will replace Gustafsson on the Red Wings' top power-play unit.

Cole Schwindt will make his Golden Knights debut on Friday, replacing Brisson in the lineup. Brisson was the 29th overall pick of the Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old Brisson spent most of last season in the AHL, scoring 38 points (19G / 19A) in 52 games.

Schwindt will make his Vegas debut on Friday vs. St. Louis.

Schwindt was the 81st overall pick of the Calgary Flames in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and has spent most of his professional career thus far in the AHL. Last season, he scored 36 points (14G / 22A) in 66 games with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL). He will draw into the lineup in favour of Brendan Brisson.

Smith will be a healthy scratch on Friday in Winnipeg.

Smith registered a -1 plus/minus in 12:13 time-on-ice in the Blackhawks' season opener on Tuesday but will be a healthy scratch on Friday in favor of Andreas Athanasiou. Smith was signed by the Blackhawks in the offseason after playing 75 games with the Dallas Stars in the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 20 points (11G / 9A).

Craig Smith will be a healthy scratch on Friday, allowing Athanasiou to make his season debut. The 30-year-old Athanasiou had a 2023-24 campaign that was plagued with injuries, limiting him to only nine points (2G / 7A) in 28 games.
