The 35-year-old veteran defenseman has passed the 20+ point plateau for the sixth time in the last seven years with his five goals and 22 points in 56 games this season.

Schmidt was the odd man out of Winnipeg's lineup for their previous game but will draw back into the lineup for Dylan Samberg on Saturday vs. the Islanders. Schmidt has endured his least productive season since 2014-15 with Winnipeg in 2023-24, with his two goals and 12 points through 60 games played.

With the return of Gabriel Vilardi (upper body), Gustafsson finds himself the odd man out of the Jets' lineup on Saturday vs. New York. The 23-year-old centre has struggled offensively in a limited role this season, with two goals, four points and 22 SOG in 36 games played while averaging only 8:56 TOI per game.
