Pascal Vincent and the Blue Jackets coaching staff opted to go with an 11-forward, seven-defenseman formation on Tuesday, but Marchenko will draw back into the lineup on Thursday in favour of Jake Bean. Marchenko tallied an assist and one shot on goal in his last outing, Monday's 6-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Carrick provides some depth in the Oilers' bottom six despite struggling offensively over the last two seasons with the Anaheim Ducks. In his last 113 games with the Ducks, Carrick has tallied only 18 points (11G / 7A), after scoring a more impressive 25 points (13G / 12A) in his previous 77.

Henrique is expected to make his Oilers' debut on Thursday vs. Columbus.

Adam Henrique's name has circulated trade rumours, finally being materialized on Wednesday in a trade to the Edmonton Oilers. Henrique is pacing for the best offensive season of his career, already with 42 points (18G / 24A) in 60 games, just nine points less than his 51-point career high set in the 2011-12 season with the New Jersey Devils.

Mantha will make his Vegas debut on Thursday vs. Vancouver.

Mantha was acquired in a trade from the Washington Capitals for a 2024 second-round pick and a 2026 fourth-round pick. He will likely slot in on the third line with Paul Cotter and Nicolas Roy. Mantha scored 34 points (20G / 14A) in 56 games with the Capitals this season.

Pavel is an undrafted forward out of the Czech Republic who made his NHL debut with the Avalanche earlier this season. He is slated to play his second career game on Wednesday. Pavel has seven points (3G / 4A) in 48 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) this season.

Johnson has been out of the lineup since February 27th due to an undisclosed injury and will remain out on Wednesday in anticipation of a potential trade. The veteran defender has only three points (3G / 0A) in 50 games this season and has been held off the scoresheet in 16 straight.

Nichuskin (personal) is doubtful for Wednesday vs. Detroit but is hopeful to play on Friday vs. Minnesota.

Nichushkin has not played since January 10th before entering the NHL's Player Assistance program. He has missed 19 games and, after returning to practice last week, appears ready to rejoin the Avalanche on Friday but has stated he is still undecided on his return. Before his absence, Nichushkin was scoring at a torrid pace with 21 points (19G / 9A) in his last 15 games.
