The Avalanche have acquired Vladislav Namestnikov from the Senators for a 2021 fourth-round pick.

The Senators originally traded a 2021 fourth-round pick for Namestnikov so they recoup that pick by sending him to the Avalanche. Namestnikov, who will be a UFA this summer, has scored 13 goals with 12 assists (25 points) in 56 games this season.

The Red Wings have acquired Kyle Brodziak and a conditional 2020 fourth-round pick from the Oilers for Mike Green.

Brodziak has missed the entire season with a back injury and his career is likely over, so his move is just cap related. The Red Wings take on his contract and retain 50 percent of Green’s contract to allow Edmonton to take on the veteran defenseman.

The Oilers have acquired Mike Green from the Red Wings for Kyle Brodziak a conditional 2020 fourth-round pick.

The Red Wings will get a 2021 third-round pick instead if the Oilers make it to the Western Conference Finals and Mike Green plays in 50 percent of the games. The Red Wings are also retaining half of Green’s salary. Green helps bolster an Oilers blueline that is currently without Oscar Klefbom and Kris Russell. The veteran defenseman has struggled this season, scoring three goals with eight assists (11 points) and a minus-32 rating in 48 games.
