Dobes will start in Seattle on Tuesday.

After 10 games (7-3-0), Montreal has been pleasantly surprised by the play of Dobes between the pipes and will turn to him for his sixth start of the season on Tuesday when they face off against the Seattle Kraken. Dobes has been near perfect to start the 2025-26 season, posting a stellar 1.77 GAA and .940 SV% in five games (5-0-0). The Czech goalie started last season with a similar 5-0-0 record. The Canadiens enter Tuesday's contest as -121 road favorites against a Kraken team off to a solid 5-2-2 start.

Hughes (lower-body) will remain out for a second straight game on Tuesday and is considered day-to-day.

Hughes did not play in Vancouver's most recent game and will remain out of the lineup on Tuesday for a second consecutive contest. The 26-year-old Hughes showed no signs of injury in his most recent game, tallying two assists and playing 26:25 time-on-ice. Filip Hronek has filled in on Vancouver's top powerplay unit in the interim, but Hughes is not expected to be sidelined for long.

Chaffee played a career-high 66 games with Tampa Bay last season, tallying 16 points (12G / 6A). He will report to the Syracuse Crunch (AHL).

Mitchell Chaffee
Pesce (upper-body) is expected to be out for at least a month.

Pesce exited Sunday's 4-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche in the first period after only 6:07 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old defenseman has been a stabilizing force on New Jersey's blueline, averaging 19:39 time-on-ice and scoring three points (0G / 3A) in nine games. Seamus Casey draws into the Devils' lineup on Tuesday, filling in for Pesce on the blueline.

Askarov was the first goalie off the ice at San Jose's morning skate.

After losing their first six games of the season (0-4-2), the Sharks have been better lately, winning two of three (2-1-0), but have continued to struggle keeping the puck out of their net. The Sharks have started the 2025-26 season as the worst defensive team in the league, allowing 42 goals in nine games (4.7 GA / GP). Askarov likely returns to the crease on Tuesday and hopes to return to the form that made him an 11th-overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old goalie has an ugly 4.79 GAA and .855 SV% in five games this season (1-3-1). The Sharks enter Tuesday's contest as +184 home underdogs against a Los Angeles Kings team with points in four of their last five (3-1-1).

Yaroslav Askarov
Klingberg (lower-body) is expected to return to San Jose's lineup vs. Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Klingberg has not played since October 14th but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 33-year-old Klingberg had been productive from the blueline early in his tenure with the Sharks, scoring two points (1G / 1A), both on the powerplay, in his first three games. He is expected to return to his spot on the team's top powerplay unit.

John Klingberg
Leason has been loaned to Hershey (AHL).

Leason started his career in the Capitals organization but spent the previous three seasons with the Anaheim Ducks. He signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Capitals on Monday, his second stint with the team, providing some organizational depth on a two-way contract. The 26-year-old forward has 54 points (25G / 29A) in 220 career NHL.

Brett Leason
Gaudette (upper-body) is expected to be out vs. Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Gaudette was limited to only 6:39 time-on-ice in San Jose's most recent game, exiting the contest due to an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old Gaudette will not play on Tuesday, with Jeff Skinner drawing into the lineup as his replacement. Gaudette has four points (3G / 1A) in nine games this season. His injury is considered more than day-to-day.

Adam Gaudette
Skinner is expected to draw back into San Jose's lineup vs. Los Angeles on Tuesday.

With Adam Gaudette battling an upper-body injury, Skinner will return to San Jose's lineup on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 33-year-old Skinner is off to a decent start to the 2025-26 season, with four points (3G / 1A) in eight games, but found himself on the sidelines as a healthy scratch in San Jose's most recent game.

Jeff Skinner
Lowry (hip) practiced on Tuesday and is "getting close" to returning to Winnipeg's lineup.

Lowry underwent hip surgery earlier in the offseason with a five-to-six month recovery timeline. The 32-year-old Lowry practiced on Tuesday as he nears his 2025-26 season debut after putting up 16 goals, 34 points and a +18 plus/minus in 73 games played in 2024-25.

Demko is the first goalie off the ice at Vancouver's morning skate.

Vancouver is 5-5-0 this season, a mediocre start that cannot be pinned on the play of Thatcher Demko, who has been terrific in the team's crease. The 29-year-old goalie has a stellar 2.36 GAA and .922 SV% in six games (4-2-0), a stark improvement from last season's 2.90 GAA and .889 SV% in 23 appearances (10-8-3). The Canucks enter Tuesday's contest as slight +105 home underdogs against a New York Rangers team off to a disappointing 3-5-2 start, averaging only 2.2 goals per game.

Thatcher Demko
Willander will make his NHL debut vs. New York on Tuesday.

Victor Mancini (undisclosed) was placed on Injured Reserve, freeing up a roster spot for Vancouver to recalled Willander from Abbotsford (AHL). The 20-year-old Willander was the 11th-overall pick of the Canucks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He is in his first professional season, tallying two points (1G / 1A) in five AHL games with Abbotsford and will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Brian Halonen
Harkins (upper-body) will make his season debut in Florida on Tuesday.

Harkins played 62 games with the Ducks last season, scoring six points (2G / 4A), but an upper-body injury has delayed his debut with the team in 2025-26. The 28-year-old is expected to suit up on a line with Ross Johnston and Sam Colangelo.

Jansen Harkins
Granlund is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

After a five-point effort last Thursday (2G / 3A), Granlund suffered a lower-body injury in his next game, exiting the contest after only 6:07 time-on-ice. The 33-year-old Finnish forward is in his first season with the Ducks and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Mikael Granlund
Lammikko will make his Devils' debut in Colorado on Tuesday.

After three seasons in Switzerland, Juho Lammikko signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Devils in the offseason. However, a lower-body injured has delayed his return to the NHL. The 28-year-old last appeared in the NHL with Vancouver in the 2021-22 season, where he recorded seven goals and 15 points in 75 games played.

Juho Lammikko
Markstrom is in the starter's crease at New Jersey's morning skate.

Given the Devils' eight-game winning streak, the team saw no need to rush Markstrom back into action, serving as the backup to Jake Allen in his return to the lineup on Sunday. That said, he will likely return to the crease on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche and hopes to build on the momentum his team built in his absence. The 35-year-old Markstrom has a 3.89 GAA and .845 SV% in three games this season (2-1-0). New Jersey enters the action as a +143 road underdog against a Colorado team amid a four-game losing skid (0-1-3).

Jacob Markstrom
Vejmelka is in the starter's crease at Utah's morning skate.

Utah leads the Central Division with an 8-2-0 record, fueled by a seven-game winning streak and adequate goaltending from Karel Vejmelka. The 29-year-old Czech goalie was outstanding in his most recent outing, saving 33 of 35 shots (.943 SV%) in a 6-2 win over the Minnesota Wild. He has a 2.43 GAA and .905 SV% in seven games this season (6-1-0).
