



The Blackhawks acquired Lafferty from the Penguins for Alex Nylander in early-January and the 27-year-old had five goals with six assists (11 points) in 45 games with Chicago. Lafferty was set to become a UFA at the end of the season.














In his first season with the Lightning, Elliott has gone 9-3-3 with a 2.23 GAA and .921 SV% in 16 games (14 starts). The 37-year-old has been terrific in a limited role behind Andrei Vasilevskiy and the Lightning need as many cheap options as they can find.

Veronneau was an undrafted free agent out of Princeton University, who had four points (2G / 2A) in 16 career NHL games with the Senators. He's spent the last two season in the SHL, most recently scoring 34 goals with 26 assists (60 points) in 51 games with Leksands IF.

Johnson has split the 2021-22 season between the AHL and NHL, scoring one goal with five assists (six points) in 29 games with the Blackhawks. The deal is one-way, so it seems like Johnson will be with the Blackhawks to start the 2022-23 season.
