Vegas has signed Brett Howden to a five-year, $12.5 million contract extension ($2,500,000 AAV).

Howden is in his fourth season with Vegas and will remain a Golden Knight for five more season after signing a five-year, $12.5 million contract extension ($2,500,000 AAV) on Friday. The 26-year-old is in his seventh NHL season and is having his most productive career year to date, on pace for 33 goals after scoring eight in his first 20 games to start 2024-25.

Vegas has signed Brayden McNabb to a three-year, $10.95 million contract extension ($3,650,000 AAV).

After a solid start to the 2024-25 season, recording two points (1G / 1A), 36 blocks, 28 hits, and a +11 plus/minus through 16 games, McNabb has been rewarded with a three-year, $10.95 million contract extension. The 33-year-old McNabb is in his 13th NHL season, spending the previous eight with the Golden Knights.

Florida has signed Gracyn Sawchyn to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Sawchyn was the 63rd overall pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old forward, in his third season in the WHL, has started his 2024-25 campaign off strong, with 20 points (8G / 12A) in 12 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings.

McCabe has signed a five-year, $22.55 million contract extension ($4,510,000 AAV).

In his third season with the Maple Leafs, McCabe has been rewarded with a five-year, $22.55 million contract extension. The 31-year-old McCabe has been a defensive staple for the Maple Leafs since joining the club and has three points (0G / 3A), a +6 plus/minus, 17 blocks, and 19 hits in nine games this season.

Lafreniere has signed a seven-year, $52.15 million contract extension ($7,450,000 AAV).

With a hot start to the 2024-25 season, scoring seven points (4G / 3A) in his first seven games, Lafreniere has been rewarded with a seven-year, $52.15 million contract extension. After struggling to live up to his status as a 1st overall draft pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Lafreniere has established himself as an offensive threat in the league since the latter part of last season. The 23-year-old Lafreniere has collected 37 points (21G / 16A) in his previous 41 games after only tallying 118 points (58G / 60A) in his first 263.

Theodore has signed a seven-year, $51.975 million contract extension ($7,425,000 AAV).

After a tremendous start to the 2024-25 season, scoring seven points (1G / 6A) in his first six games, Theodore has been rewarded with a seven-year, $51.975 million contract extension ($7.425 million AAV). The contract extension for the talented 29-year-old blue liner runs through 2031-32, Theodore's age 36 season. Theodore has battled some injuries the past several seasons, being limited to only 102 games but scoring 83 points (13G / 70A) in that span.

Neighbours has signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract extension ($3,750,000 AAV).

Neighbours was drafted 26th overall by the Blues in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and become a full-time NHLer last season. The 22-year-old Neighbours has three points (2G / 1A) in six games to start the 2024-25 campaign, and was tied for second on the Blues last season with 27 goals in 77 games.

Oettinger has signed an eight-year, $66 million contract extension ($8,250,000 AAV).

After a stellar start to the 2024-25 season, posting a 1.63 GAA and .948 SV% in three games (3-0-0), impending RFA Jake Oettinger has signed a massive eight-year, $66 million contract extension. The extension mirrors the recent extension signed by fellow American netminder Jeremy Swayman with the Boston Bruins two weeks ago. Oettinger was the Stars' 26th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and has cemented himself as their starting goalie for the last three seasons. The 26-year-old Oettinger has a 2.49 GAA, .914 SV%, and 11 shutouts in 196 career appearances (116-48-23).

Montreal has signed Gustav Lindstrom to a one-year, two-way contract.

Lindstrom played for the Canadiens last season before being placed on waivers and being claimed by the Anaheim Ducks. In his first stint with the Canadiens last season, Lindstrom tallied six points (0G / 6A), a +12 plus/minus rating, 40 blocks, and 54 hits in 32 games.

Seattle has signed Joey Daccord to a five-year contract extension worth $5.0M AAV ($25M total).

Despite having only 69 games of experience in his NHL career, the Seattle Kraken had no reservations about signing Daccord to a five-year, $25 million contract extension. The 28-year-old Daccord had a breakout 2023-24 campaign, posting an impressive 2.46 GAA, .916 SV%, and three shutouts in 50 games (19-18-11). Daccord served as the backup to Philipp Grubauer in Seattle's season opener, a 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues, but should, at the very least, split time in the crease for the duration of the season.
