Blackwood has been placed on IR, prompting the Sharks to recall Chrona for the second time this season. Chrona has struggled immensely in limited action with the Sharks this season, posting a 9.50 GAA and .724 SV% in two appearances (0-1-0).
Afanasyev was recalled earlier this month but was a healthy scratch in five of seven games. Afanasyev was the 45th overall pick of the Predators in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and was enjoying a terrific season at the AHL level, scoring 42 points (21G / 21A) in 42 games.

With Justin Faulk being activated from LTIR, Kessel has been reassigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. Kessel registered two assists while averaging 17:25 time-on-ice through 22 games with the Blues.
Foote has not played this season due to an undisclosed injury and will report to the Utica Comets (AHL) for a conditioning stint. Foote was the 27th overall pick of the Devils in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and had 37 points (20G / 17A) in 55 games with Utica last season.

Despite being held off the scoresheet, Stankoven was impressive in his NHL debut on Saturday, recording 15:20 time-on-ice while firing three shots on goals. He played on a line with Jamie Benn and Wyatt Johnston. Stankoven has spent the majority of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL, transitioning seamlessly in his first professional season, leading the league with 57 points (24G / 33A) in 46 games with the Texas Stars.
Pouliot has played the last four games for the Stars, recording -1 plus/minus, three shots and three hits while averaging under 13 minutes per night. The 30-year-old Pouliot is no stranger to the NHL with 225 games under his belt but has spent the majority of the 2023-24 campaign with Texas (AHL), tallying 31 points (8G / 23A) in 44 games.
