Goalie Start
Shesterkin will start Monday vs. the Lightning.
The Rangers suddenly find themselves six points back of the Montreal Canadiens, with a game in hand, for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, and will be desperate for a win on Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Shesterkin will be between the pipes for the Rangers, looking to improve on his 2.86 GAA and .904 SV% in 57 games this season (25-27-5). The 29-year-old goalie struggled in his most recent outing, allowing three goals on 15 shots (.800 SV%) in a 4-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils. The Rangers enter Monday's contest as +134 home underdogs against a Lightning team that is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.
