Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition characterized by an abnormally large increase in heart rate upon sitting up or standing. Since suffering a concussion, Josi had been dealing with headaches. Josi was reported to be worried that the concussions had damaged his brain; however, a check-up revealed that his brain was fine but that he was suffering from POTS, which can cause headaches and fatigue. Since the diagnosis, Josi has undergone intensive therapy and is feeling "much better." Josi believes he'll be back at 100 percent for the 2025-26 season.

Koppanen split his 2024-25 season between the NHL and AHL, but spent most of the season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL), where he had 23 points (8G / 15A) in 56 games. Koppanen has just one goal and one assist in 20 career NHL games since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Draft.

Stecher suited up for Games 4 and 5 but will come out of the lineup for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. John Klingberg will re-enter the Oilers lineup to replace Stecher.

Poirier spent the entire season with Texas (AHL), where he went 17-11-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .908 SV% in 31 games. Poirier served as Texas' No.1 netminder in the AHL playoffs, going 5-3 with a 2.19 GAA and .919 SV%. Expect him to start the 2025-26 season in the AHL again.

Copley only appeared in one game for Los Angeles in 2024-25 but will provide some goaltending depth yet again after signing a one-year, $775,000 contract extension on Monday with the Kings. The 33-year-old Alaskan netminder appeared in 42 games with Ontario (AHL) in 2024-25, posting a 24-17-1 record with a .904 SV%.

Thomson spent the 2024-25 season with Malmö (SHL) but has earned himself a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with the Ottawa Senators. The 24-year-old is expected to return to North America after one season with Malmö, where he excelled with 17 goals and 29 points in 50 games played. His last NHL appearance came in 2022-23 with Ottawa, where he had no points in two games played.

After three seasons in Switzerland, Juho Lammikko is returning to the NHL with New Jersey after signing a one-year, $800,000 contract on Sunday. The 28-year-old last appeared in the NHL with Vancouver in the 2021-22 season, where he recorded seven goals and 15 points in 75 games played. He is expected to compete for a roster spot come the 2025-26 season.

After allowing three or fewer goals in nine straight (7-2), posting a stellar .944 SV%, Bobrovsky has allowed four or more in three of four games (2-2) to start the Stanley Cup Finals against the Edmonton Oilers, posting a .913 SV%. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has a 2.27 GAA and .913 SV% in 21 games this postseason (14-7).

Rohrer was a third-round pick of the Canadiens in 2022 and has won back-to-back National League Championships while playing with Zurich SC. In 2024-25, Rohrer had 15 goals and 10 assists (25 points) in 52 games and added five points (1G / 4A) in 16 playoff games.

Soderstrom spent 2024-25 playing professional hockey for Brynas IF (SHL) but has had his rights traded from Chicago to Boston for Ryan Mast and a 7th-round pick. The 24-year-old Swedish defenseman was Arizona's 1st-round pick in 2019 (11th overall) and has 11 points in 53 career NHL games played.

Kasperi Kapanen will likely be a healthy scratch on Saturday for Game 5, allowing Arvidsson to re-enter the lineup. The 32-year-old Arvidsson has seven points (2G / 5A) in 14 games this postseason.

Kapanen played well in Game 4, recording an assist, but was limited to only 8:36 time-on-ice. He will likely be a healthy scratch on Saturday for Game 5, with Viktor Arvidsson drawing into the lineup as his replacement.

Pickard was excellent in relief of Stuart Skinner in Game 4, entering the contest in the second period with a 3-0 deficit, saving 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) in an eventual 5-4 overtime victory over the Florida Panthers, evening the series at 2-2. Game 5 on Saturday will be Pickard's first start since the second round against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 33-year-old netminder has a 2.69 GAA and .896 SV% in nine appearances this postseason (7-0).

Fermstrom was Pittsburgh's 2024 3rd-round pick (93rd overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Penguins on Friday. The 19-year-old Swedish right-winger spent 2024-25 with Orebro HK (SHL) and had eight goals and 17 points in 48 games played.
