Vaakanainen (upper-body) will make his Rangers' debut on Tuesday in Nashville.

Vaakanainen was acquired in a trade last week that sent Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks and will make his debut on Tuesday against the Nashville Predaotrs. The 25-year-old Vaakanainen was the 18th overall pick of the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He played a career-high 68 games with the Ducks last season, tallying 14 points (1G / 13A). Connor Mackey will be a healthy scratch for the Rangers.

Tater (undisclosed) is expected to return to New Jersey's lineup on Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

Tatar was a surprise scratch on Thursday, with his absence not being announced prior to warmups. He has missed two games but will likely return to the lineup on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 34-year-old Tatar has nine points (3G / 6A) in 29 games this season.

The 26-year-old Gustavsson is amid a Vezina-worthy season, posting a 2.24 GAA and .922 SV% in 22 games (14-5-3) and is not expected to be out of the lineup for long. Marc-Andre Fluery will likely be between the pipes for Minnesota on Wednesday.

Lyon (lower-body) will return to Detroit's lineup on Wednesday and is an option to start.

Lyon has been sidelined since suffering a lower-body injury at practice on November 27th but could return to the crease on Wednesday for the Red Wings. Cam Talbot (lower body) is nearing a return to the lineup as well but has been ruled out for Wednesday. The 32-year-old Lyon has a 2.74 GAA and .911 SV% in nine appearances (4-4-0) this season.

Panarin (upper-body) is expected to miss his second straight game on Tuesday in Nashville.

The struggling Rangers were without Panarin in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues and will be without him again on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators. The Rangers are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games and can ill-afford to be without Panarin's team-leading 36 points (15G / 21A) in 29 games.

Greenway (undsiclosed) is doubtful to play on Tuesday in Montreal.

Greenway has been a game-time decision each game since returning from an injury earlier this month and is unlikely to play on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 27-year-old Greenway is averaging 15:55 time-on-ice, recording seven points (3G / 4A) and 54 hits in 20 games this season.

Hall (undisclosed) is a game-time decision vs. Washington on Tuesday.

Hall played a season-low 11:21 in Sunday's 5-3 win over the New York Islanders and is battling an undisclosed injury that could keep him out of the lineup on Tuesday. The 2017-18 Hart Trophy winner only has 14 points (7G / 7A) in 30 games this season but has been more productive lately, scoring eight points (5G / 3A) in his last 10 games.

Carrier (upper-body) returned to morning skate on Tuesday but will not play vs. New York.

Carrier has not played since December 7th and will remain out of the lineup on Tuesday but appears to be nearing a return to action. The 28-year-old defenseman is averaging 20:08 time-on-ice, recording seven points (1G / 6A), a -14 plus/minus, and 31 blocks in 28 games this season.

Josi (lower-body) skated at morning skate on Tuesday but will not play.

Josi has not played since December 10th and will not play on Tuesday but appears to be inching closer to a return. The 34-year-old Josi has 23 points (7G / 16A) in 29 games this season. The Predators have opted to run a five-forward group on their top powerplay unit with Josi out of the lineup.

Drury underwent successful hand surgery and is expected to miss the next four weeks.

Drury has been out of the lineup since suffering an injury last Tuesday. The 24-year-old Drury is averaging 13:09 time-on-ice and has nine points (3G / 6A) in 28 games this season. Jesperi Kotkaniemi has seen his deployment increase since Drury has been sidelined.

Stolarz is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks after undergoing a procedure to remove a loose body in his knee.

Stolarz was able to play the first period of last Thursday night's game but did not join his teammates for the start of the second due to a lower-body injury. The 30-year-old netminder's absence from the team will be a tough loss for a club that has relied on him, posting a stellar 2.15 GAA and .927 SV% in 17 games (9-5-2). Joseph Woll will likely see the majority of the action between the pipes while Stolarz is out of the lineup, with Dennis Hildeby serving as his backup.

Foligno missed his first game of the season on Sunday due to an illness but appears ready to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The 37-year-old Foligno is averaging 16:49 time-on-ice, recording 13 points (7G / 6A) and 86 hits in 30 games this season.
