Studnicka played the last nine games for the Sharks, scoring zero points and being limited to only seven shots on goals. Before being acquired by the Sharks, he played nine games with the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL this season, scoring seven points (1G / 6A) in nine games.

With Dennis Gilbert suffering an upper-body injury yesterday, the Flames have opted to recall Kuznetsov from the Wranglers (AHL), where he has seven points (2G / 5A) in 31 games this season. The 50th overall pick of the Flames in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft could be poised to make his NHL debut if Gilbert remains out of the lineup.

Kirkland has spent most of his eight-year professional career in the AHL, making his NHL debut last season with the Anaheim Ducks, being held without a point in seven contests. Kirkland has 13 points (1G / 12A) this season in 12 games with the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL).

Alexandrov has been reassigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).

Alexandrov has been reassigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL, allowing the Blues to recall Jakub Vrana. Alexandrov was held without a point in 10 games with the Blues this season and will likely make his 2023-24 Thunderbirds debut after scoring 38 points (19G / 19A) in 41 games with the AHL club last season.

Meyers has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Meyers has appeared in eight games for the Avalanche this season and has a goal, six SOG, and a -1 plus/minus while averaging 9:41 TOI/GP but has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) Thursday. The 25-year-old miraculously does not have an assist in 52 career NHL games played dispite having six goals. He returns to the Eagles, where he had 13 points (6G/7A) in 19 games prior to his previous call up.

Vegas has recalled Grigori Deniskenko from Henderson (AHL) on Thursday.

The Golden Knights recalled Denisenko on Thursday and he skated on a line with Michael Amadio and Brett Howden at practice, signalling he could make his season debut on Thursday. in 31 games with the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL, Denisenko has 30 points (12G / 18A) and 26 penalty minutes.

Day has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL).

Day has been recalled and reassigned several times in the last month but has not cracked the Lightning lineup during his stints at the NHL level. The 25-year-old Day was the third-round pick of the New York Rangers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and has eight points (0G / 8A) in 17 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

Linus Karlsson has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL).

Karlsson had seven goals, 16 assists, 10 PIMs and +8 plus/minus through 25 games played with Abbotsford (AHL) and has been recalled to Vancouver for the second time this season. The 24-year-old last appeared on December 5th for the Canucks and has yet to pick up a point in three games and only 10:26 TOI/GP.

Brennan Othmann has been recalled from Hartford (AHL).

With the news of Tyler Pitlick (lower body) being out week-to-week, Brennan Othmann has been recalled from Hartford (AHL) for the first time in his career. The 20-year-old left-winger is the Rangers' 2021 first-round pick (16th overall) and had nine goals and 23 points in 28 games with Hartford prior to his promotion.

Dylan Holloway (lower body) has been activated from the Long-Term Injured Reserve and loaned to Bakersfield (AHL).

Holloway has been out since November 13th due to a lower-body injury but has been activated off the Long-Term Injured Reserve Wednesday and loaned to Bakersfield (AHL) for a conditioning stint. The 22-year-old sophomore got out to a bit of a slump prior to his injury as he had only a goal, no assists, 29 SOG, 13 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus in 14 games played.

Ken Appleby has been recalled from Bridgeport (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Semyon Varlamov exited Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche in the first period, his second injury in less than a week, prompting the Isaldners to recall Appleby again. If Varlamov is out for an extended period, Appleby will unlikely see much action between the pipes as Varlamov will take the reigns between the pipes.

Matthew Poitras has returned from the World Junior Championships but will not be an option Thursday.

Poitras is making an earlier-than-anticipated return to the Bruins after an abrupt exit for him and the rest of the Canadian team at the World Junior Championship. In five tournament games, Poitras scored four points (2G / 2A). Before leaving the Bruins to join Team Canada, Poitras had only six points (1G / 5A) in his last 16 games after scoring seven points (4G / 3A) in his 11 games prior.

Shea has appeared in 22 games this season but has yet to pick up a point while collecting 13 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus. He was reassigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on Tuesday but immediately recalled on Wednesday after John Ludvig (undisclosed) was placed on IR.
